Searching for a TiviMate download quickly leads to a confusing mix of app stores, APK files, Downloader codes and unofficial websites. Some of these routes are perfectly safe. Others can install modified software that puts your device and accounts at risk.
Quick answer: Download TiviMate only from its official app store listing, such as Google Play on Android TV, or from the developer's official website. On Fire TV, install the Downloader app, allow it to install unknown apps, and type the developer's official address rather than relying on codes shared online.

Before you download: which devices can run TiviMate?
TiviMate is built for TV devices, so check compatibility before downloading anything:
- Android TV and Google TV devices — the main platform TiviMate is designed for.
- Fire TV and Firestick — Fire TV runs a version of Android, so TiviMate can be used on many models.
- Android phones and tablets — TiviMate is designed for TV screens and remote controls; touch-screen players are usually a better fit on phones.

Where to download TiviMate safely
There are two safe sources for TiviMate:
- The official app store listing, such as the Google Play Store on Android TV and Google TV devices.
- The developer's official website, for devices where the app is not available through an app store.
Everything else — mirror sites, file-sharing links, video descriptions and forum attachments — carries risk. Files from these sources may be outdated, modified or bundled with unwanted software, and you have no way to confirm what they contain.
A simple rule: if a download page is not the official app store listing or the developer's own website, do not use it.
What is the TiviMate APK?
APK stands for Android Package — the file format used to install apps on Android-based devices, including Android TV and Fire TV. When you install TiviMate from the Google Play Store, an APK is downloaded and installed for you in the background.
"Downloading the TiviMate APK" simply means getting that installation file yourself, which is necessary on devices where the app store does not list TiviMate. The process is called sideloading.
Sideloading is safe when the APK comes from the official source. The risk comes entirely from where the file originated. An APK labelled "TiviMate" on an unofficial website could be anything, including a modified version designed to steal data.
Signs of an unsafe TiviMate APK
- It is advertised as "Premium unlocked", "Pro", "mod" or "cracked"
- It comes from a site full of pop-ups or fake download buttons
- It asks for unusual permissions, such as access to contacts or SMS
- The file size is very different from the official version
- It is shared through short links or video descriptions

What is a TiviMate Downloader code?
On Fire TV, many people install apps using Downloader, a free app available in the Amazon Appstore. Downloader includes a simple browser and file downloader designed for TV remotes.
Typing a long web address with a remote is slow, so Downloader supports short numeric codes. Each code is a shortcut that points to a web address. When you enter a code, Downloader opens whatever address the code was registered to.
This is where caution is needed:
- Anyone can create a Downloader code. A code shared online might point to an official page — or to an unofficial, modified file.
- Codes can change. The address behind a code can be updated after it has been shared.
- You cannot see the destination in advance just by looking at the number.
For this reason, we do not publish Downloader codes. The safest approach is to type the developer's official web address directly into Downloader, or use a code only if it is published by the developer's own official channels. If Downloader opens a page that is not the official source, go back and do not download anything.
How to install TiviMate on Firestick: step by step
Menu names differ slightly between Fire TV models and software versions, but the process is similar on all of them.
Step 1: Install the Downloader app
- On the Fire TV home screen, open Find or the search option.
- Search for Downloader.
- Select the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore and choose Get or Download.
Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps
Fire TV blocks apps from unknown sources by default. You need to give Downloader permission:
- Open Settings.
- Go to My Fire TV.
- Open Developer options.
- Select Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to On.
If Developer options is not visible, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About, highlight your device name and press the select button on your remote several times until a message confirms that developer options are enabled. Then return to My Fire TV.
Step 3: Download the official TiviMate APK
- Open Downloader.
- In the address field, type the developer's official download address exactly.
- Confirm the page is the official source before selecting anything.
- Start the download and wait for it to finish.
Step 4: Install TiviMate
- When the download completes, choose Install.
- Wait for the installation to finish.
- Choose Done rather than Open if you want to tidy up first.
Step 5: Delete the installation file
Downloader usually offers to delete the APK file after installation. Choose Delete to free up storage — the app itself stays installed.
Step 6: Tighten security again
Once TiviMate is installed, you can switch Install unknown apps for Downloader back to Off. This reduces the chance of anything else being installed without your knowledge. Turn it on again only when you need to install or update from the official source.
TiviMate now appears under Your Apps & Channels. Move it to the front of the home screen for quick access.
How to install TiviMate on Android TV and Google TV
On most Android TV and Google TV devices, installation is simpler:
- Open the Google Play Store on the TV device.
- Search for TiviMate.
- Check that the listing shows the correct developer.
- Select Install.
- Open the app when installation completes.
Installing from the Play Store also means updates arrive automatically. If TiviMate is not listed on your device, check the developer's official information for supported installation options rather than downloading from a third-party site.
Installing TiviMate on an Android phone or tablet
TiviMate is designed for TV screens and remote controls, so it is not the most comfortable choice on a phone or tablet. Its layout assumes a large screen and directional navigation rather than touch.
If you mainly watch on a phone or tablet, a touch-friendly IPTV player is usually a better fit. Your IPTV subscription details can be used in any compatible player, so you are not tied to one app.
Moving TiviMate to a new device
When you replace your streaming device, you need to set TiviMate up again on the new one:
- Install TiviMate from the official source using the steps above.
- Add your playlist again using the details from your IPTV subscription.
- Connect the TV guide if it does not load automatically.

Settings such as hidden groups and favourites are stored on each device, so expect to recreate them. Keep your subscription details somewhere safe and private to make this quicker.
Safe download checklist
Before installing TiviMate on any device, run through this list:
- The source is the official app store listing or the developer's official website.
- The app is not labelled "mod", "cracked", "unlocked" or "Pro edition".
- You typed the web address yourself, or used a code published by the developer.
- Your device has enough free storage for the app and its data.
- You will switch off unknown-app installation again after installing.
- You know where your IPTV subscription details are, ready for setup.
After installation: what next?

Keeping TiviMate updated
Updates fix bugs and improve compatibility, so it is worth keeping the app current.
- Installed from Google Play: updates arrive automatically, or through the Play Store's app management screen.
- Sideloaded on Fire TV: download the latest version from the official source using the same steps and install it over the existing app. Installing over the top normally keeps your playlists and settings.
Avoid "update" prompts from unofficial websites or pop-ups. Only update from the same official source you used originally.
Common download and installation problems
"App not installed" error
This usually happens when the file is incomplete, the device is low on storage, or an existing version was installed from a different source. Free up storage, download the file again from the official source, and try once more.
Downloader cannot find the page
Check the address for typing mistakes, including dots and slashes, and make sure the device is connected to the internet.
The install option is missing
Permission to install unknown apps is probably still switched off. Repeat Step 2 of the Firestick instructions.
The app installed but shows no channels

Take warnings seriously. If a warning appears for a file that did not come from the official source, cancel the installation and delete the file.
